New molecular therapy by Scripps Research could stop many strains of the flu

According to the World Health Organization, a billion people suffer from seasonal flu every year, leading to sickness and death. Vaccines bring a measure of protection but the flu mutates so quickly it can get around vaccines. KPBS sci-tech reporter Thomas Fudge tells us about a molecule that’s been identified that might stop all strains of the flu.
