San Diego expands safe sleeping sites amid shelter bed shortage
The city of San Diego says it's adding 230 tents at two of its safe sleeping sites. But by the end of this year, the city is expected to lose more than 600 shelter beds. San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria says the city is persisting and moving forward with options like safe sleeping sites. KPBS’s Alexander Nguyen was there today as Gloria touted the success of one such site.
