Study says water transfer deal is raising dust and draining the Salton Sea

Twenty years ago the Imperial Valley began transferring excess water from the valley’s farm fields to the water taps of San Diego. The water conservation that made it possible landed hard on the Salton Sea. KPBS sci-tech reporter Thomas Fudge examines a new study that shows the transfer deal is drying up the lake and making dust pollution a bigger problem.
