California Democrats Aim to Close 'Sloophole'

California Democrats say they have found a way to close the state's $16 million budget deficit.

They want to close a loophole that allows buyers of private planes, yachts and recreational vehicles to avoid paying sales tax on their big-ticket items. Republicans in the state assembly have twice defeated attempts to close what Democrats call the "sloophole."
