An investigation is already underway as to why a U.S. Navy T-45C Goshawk crashed this morning at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida.
The two pilots aboard the aircraft survived the crash, and have been hospitalized in stable condition.
According to Chief of Naval Air Training Public Affairs, the aircraft crashed at the approach end of a runway at 10:30 a.m. EST:
The two-seat training aircraft, assigned to Training Squadron 86, was conducting a local training flight.
An Escambia County spokesperson told WEAR-TV that both pilots were transported to Baptist Hospital, one by Lifeflight.
The Navy has not yet released the names of the pilots, citing privacy concerns.
