Marine from California Killed in Afghanistan

Southern California native and Marine Corps Cpl. Michael J. Palacio was killed in Helmand province, Afghanistan on March 29th, according to the Department of Defense.

Palacio was 23-years-old. He was a native of Lake Elsinore, California .

Palacio was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Okinawa, Japan.
