The Navy ship that attempted to rescue an Orange County couple from the clutches of Somali pirates last year is leaving San Diego today. The USS Sterett, a guided-missile destroyer, will join the Abraham Lincoln Strike Group in the Western Pacific for a routine deployment, according to the Associated Press.
The A.P. reports that during the Sterrett's most recent deployment, the ship was hit by Somali pirates:
As Home Post reported last February, Jean and Scott Adam spent eight years traveling around the world on their ship the Quest. The couple called their journey 'friendship evangelism' and handed out Bibles to the locals they met along the way.
