Shiver me timbers! I couldn't believe it myself, but the United States Navy is recognizing National Talk Like a Pirate Day!
The Navy News Service has posted a collection of photographs that show servicemembers working hard to combat piracy throughout the world. According to the Navy, real-life piracy poses an ongoing threat to "international maritime freedom."
