Longtime San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis announced Tuesday she will not run for a 5th term in 2018.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports Dumanis, who's been in office since 2003, has not decided whether she'll serve out her current term or step down before it ends.

The only reason reported is that Dumanis said she's been in public service for 42 years and, "has other things to do."
