Many San Diegans are still in T-shirts and shorts but it is the end of November and in the next few weeks the flu will begin to rear its ugly head again.

We've heard the call from health care providers to get a flu shot and those who heed the call probably have already rolled up their sleeves and taken the jab. Now, a UC San Diego scientist has made a discovery that could change the way researches think about therapies for viruses.
