NPR's business news starts with JetBlue saying willkommen to new investment.
The biggest air carrier in Germany just bought a 19 percent stake in JetBlue. That's the first major investment by a foreign airline in an American carrier since the early 1990s. The $300 million investment is a bargain for Lufthansa, which is paying with the strong Euro. The money will help JetBlue deal with its red ink and high fuel costs and new competition.
