The White House says it’s looking into video footage of U.S. Custom Border Protection agents on horseback confronting Haitian migrants in Texas.
Videos circulating on the internet show agents on horseback charging at migrants.
Jean Elise Durandisse, a pastor with the Haitian Ministry of San Diego, said he was appalled by the treatment the Haitians received in Del Rio.

“The border patrol used the horse to chase people and it’s disgusting. You can't even watch that,” said Durandisse.
In recent days an estimated 12,000 undocumented Haitians have arrived to the border hoping to seek asylum.
Durandisse said Haiti is the last place these migrants want to return to: Following the assassination of their president and a massive earthquake many have lost everything.

Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas condemned the tactics used and said a full investigation is being followed.
“That defies all of the values that we seek to instill,” Mayorkas said.
Mayorkas said they’re ramping up deportations of Haitian nationals.
As of Tuesday he said there were less than 10,000 migrants left at the Del Rio bridge.
In a Tuesday press conference, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the Biden administration had failed to secure the border.
“It’s not the Biden administration catch-and-release policy, it's the arrest-and-jail policy sending a message to these folks and anybody thinking of coming here,” Abbott said.
Hoping to lend a hand, Durandisse is on his way to Del Rio.
“I’ll be in Texas to see what I can do and how I can work with them,” he said.
