Showers and thunderstorms are possible again Thursday in San Diego County, according to the National Weather Service.
A low pressure system over Baja California could produce scattered showers and thunderstorms in the mountains, deserts and portions of the western valleys until this afternoon, forecasters said.
Showers could develop in coastal areas this morning, but no thunderstorm activity is expected.
The chance of measurable precipitation has been set at 20% Thursday in coastal areas, the western valleys and the deserts, while the county mountains will have a 30% chance.
Rainfall totals are not expected to exceed one-tenth of an inch anywhere in the county Thursday.
The stormy conditions are expected to clear by this evening, forecasters said. Temperatures will be significantly cooler Thursday and continue dropping in coastal areas and the western valleys through Sunday.
The mountains and deserts will see slightly warmer weather on Friday, then temperatures will drop through Sunday.
High temperatures Thursday could reach 77 degrees near the coast and inland, 82 in the western valleys, 77 in the mountains and 92 in the deserts.
After the system moves east out of the region by Friday morning, another low pressure system is expected to arrive and bring light showers late Friday night through Saturday everywhere except the deserts, according to the NWS.
