Authorities released surveillance photos Wednesday of a man suspected of sexually assaulting a San Diego State University student last weekend at her apartment.

The assault occurred about 1:40 a.m. Saturday at a residential complex at Hardy Avenue and 55th Street, SDSU police Detective Cruz said.

The victim did not know the man, who approached her as she was walking home, Cruz said. He followed her into her bedroom and assaulted her, fleeing when her roommate arrived.
