From vicious rivalries within the competitive cycling world to unexpected flying objects, the otherwise peaceful paradise of Midsomer can prove a surprisingly lethal place to call home. DCI John Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon) and DS Charlie Nelson (Gwilym Lee) investigate grizzly goings-on in MIDSOMER MURDERS SEASON 18. In six new cases spanning 12 episodes, Barnaby and Nelson get involved with the deadly worlds of body-snatching, UFO spotting, and international cycling. They are aided by a new member on the team: forensic pathologist Dr. Kam Karimore (Manjinder Virk).
Other investigations this season involve: unraveling a complex feud from the past, cracking a case where art imitates death, and diving into a murder with secrets long buried in the hallowed ground. Featured guest stars this season include Helen Baxendale (FRIENDS), Hari Dhillon (THIS IS US), Lee Armstrong (CALL THE MIDWIFE), and Alison Steadman (GAVIN & STACEY), among others.

“Habeas Corpus” - Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023 at 10 p.m. on KPBS TV - When wealthy landowner Gregory Lancaster's body goes missing on the night of his death, a sinister web of secrets and lies is exposed in the village of Little Malton. “The Incident At Cooper Hill” - Thursday, Sept. 23 from 10-11:30 p.m. on KPBS TV - Mysterious lights are seen in the sky over famous UFO hot-spot Cooper Hill. When a local forest ranger suffers a strange death, the visiting UFO spotters are convinced aliens are responsible. DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson unearth suspicions, betrayals, and long-buried secrets in their search for the truth, centering on the nearby RAF base, including events going back over 20 years when secret research was conducted on aerial spying equipment, and there were secret affairs between villagers and RAF personnel. Guest stars Lee Armstrong (CALL THE MIDWIFE) and Alison Steadman (GAVIN & STACEY)
"Breaking The Chain" - Thursday, Sept. 30 from 10-11:30 p.m. on KPBS TV - An international cycling competition comes to the Midsomer village of Burwood Mantle. When the race leader is murdered, DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson find themselves drawn into a ruthlessly competitive world of blackmail, bribery and bloodshed where winning comes at any cost. Guest stars Hari Dhillon (THIS IS US) and Edward Akrout (MR. SELFRIDGE)
"A Dying Art" - Thursday, Oct. 7 from 10-11:30 p.m. on KPBS TV - Art comes to the picturesque Midsomer village of Angel’s Rise with the opening of a new Sculpture Park. But when its launch is marred by murder, DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson have to get creative to crack a case where art imitates death, and everything has a deeper meaning. "Saints And Sinners" - Thursday, Oct. 14 from 10-11:30 p.m. on KPBS TV - The discovery of a Saint’s bones at an archaeological dig causes a stir in the village of Midsomer Cicely. But when the leader of the dig is murdered, DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson soon realise that it’s not only skeletons that have been long buried in the hallowed ground. Guest Star Julia Sawalha(ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS).
"Harvest Of Souls" Thursday, Oct. 21 from 10-11:30 p.m. on KPBS TV - The annual harvest fair and the daredevil riders of the Wall of Death come to Midsomer village Whitcombe Mallet. When the owner of an equestrian center is trampled by his horse DCI Barnaby and DS Nelson have to unravel a complex feud from the past, where nothing is what it seems. Last appearance of Gwilym Lee as DS Charlie Nelson and of Sykes the dog.
