Since its dedication as America's first surf park 50 years ago, Tourmaline Surfing Park has enjoyed a rich history of beach culture, surfing and lifeguarding. "A Line In The Sand" documents the inspiring and fascinating events that led to its creation, and features interviews from surf legends, Floyd Smith of the famed Gordon and Smith Surfboards, the legendary Skip Frye, Hank Warner, Marshall Malcolm, Mike Hynson from the original "Endless Summer," and USD Professor of Anthropology and Archaeologist Jerome Hall.
This film is narrated by radio personality Chris Cantore. At its heart, this film tells the complex story of the dedication to community through the noblest of motives, the public good.
