MARTHA SPEAKS celebrates the spirit of family in “Martha’s Thanksgiving,” a two-part episode airing during Thanksgiving week on PBS KIDS.
After discovering that Helen’s extended family will be coming for Thanksgiving, Martha embarks on a quest for to find her own long-lost siblings. Tails begin to wag as she tracks down her canine brothers and sisters, but Martha’s mother is nowhere to be seen.
Martha digs into her past to uncover the reason why they were separated. Can she and her friends find her mom in time for the family reunion? Come together with your family and enjoy this heartwarming episode that teaches words like reunion, quest, memory, and connection.

MARTHA SPEAKS, based on the best-selling children’s books by Susan Meddaugh, is a proven tool for increasing children’s vocabulary. Martha is a beloved family dog who gained the power of speech when she was accidentally fed alphabet soup.
Each episode is an adventure with Martha and her friends, during which they learn an array of vocabulary words. The series is supported by an educational outreach campaign that includes a cross-age reading buddy program.
