Poway Onstage presents award-winning actor and musician Jeff Daniels in a live-streaming concert this Saturday.
The pandemic has been devastating for arts organizations. But if there is a silver lining to be found, then it’s in the virtual realm where new kinds of community engagement are being fostered and new horizons are being opened up.
Take Poway Onstage. It’s unlikely that Jeff Daniels, of TV’s "The Newsroom" and the film "Dumb and Dumber," would have come out to San Diego for a one-night event but he is willing to do a live-stream show from his home just for Poway OnStage this Saturday.
Since the summer, the Emmy Award-winning actor has performed 60 live stream shows.
Attendees will have a chance to submit questions during the performance and he will answer as many as he can get to. Virtual tickets are $20 per person or $30 for a family. Poway OnStage is hoping people will show their support for the theater company and be honest about how many will be viewing the event.
