In San Diego County, there have been more than 240 community outbreaks since the start of the pandemic, according to new information released by the county. But the county is still keeping the specific location of an outbreak a secret.

There have been more than 240 community coronavirus outbreaks since the start of the pandemic in San Diego County and most of them have taken place in the city of San Diego. That's according to a new list released Thursday by the county of every COVID-19 outbreak.

The county released the information following a public records lawsuit from KPBS and Voice of San Diego.

But the county is still keeping the specific locations of those outbreaks a secret. The county maintains releasing addresses can make businesses fearful of reporting outbreaks to public health officials.
