Residents in the cities of Coronado, Del Mar, Imperial Beach, Lemon Grove, Poway, Solana Beach and the unincorporated parts of the county could be eligible to receive assistance.
The program can provide a grant of up to $1,500 per month for two months for rental costs distributed directly to the landlord or property management company.
The window to apply for the program is short, with applications being available only until 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
In order to qualify, households must be in the qualifying areas, meet income eligibility requirements and have experienced a financial hardship related to COVID-19.
