Woodstock's Pizza is partnering with the Salvation Army, raising money to feed people in need during the outbreak.
"We’re strong on that sense of community in San Diego we’ve been here for 35 years," said Woodstocks co-owner Laura Ambrose.
Woodstock's is collecting donations here, and the San Diego-based pizza chain is matching all donations made.
"We want to be part of the solution and for us, that means that means we want to match what our own guests or people donating to the cause are doing," Ambrose said.
The campaign is officially called "Double Your Dough-Nation." The Salvation Army takes those donations and works with local hospitals and people in need to connect them with the free food.

The fundraiser not only feeds health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus outbreak, but it also helps keep Woodstock's from laying off staff.
"This gives our employees the opportunity to make more pizza, therefore be employed and helping the community so it’s a win-win-win," Ambrose said.
Woodstock's is headquartered in San Diego but has locations across California. The company saw a 50% reduction in business when coronavirus restrictions first went in place. They since have taken advantage of low-interest government loans.
"We’re grateful that those loan programs have been put in place and that should sustain us for the next month or however long this takes," Ambrose said.
Across the state, $14,000 has already been raised, which translates to more than 5,000 meals.
