The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Thursday for the 15th time in 16 days, decreasing 1.2 cents to $3.744, its lowest amount since Sept. 29.
The average price has dropped 9.4 cents over the past 16 days, including seven-tenths of a cent on both Tuesday and Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 5 cents less than one week ago and 9.2 cents lower than one month ago but 47 cents more than one year ago. It has risen 62.2 cents since the start of the year.
The average price dropped 12 consecutive days, rose two-tenths of a cent on Monday, then resumed decreasing on Tuesday.
