Thearle's Piano Festival - October 1975
As a child in the 1970s and 80s, I always participated in the annual Thearle's Piano Festival.
One-hundred pianos on stage at the Starlight Theatre, two kids per piano, directed by Conductor Rigby. He only had an hour (live TV!) to get six or seven age groups on the stage for two or three songs each. We tore through classic movie themes like "The Hills Are Alive" from "The Sound of Music" and "Tara's Theme" from "Gone With The Wind," at triple pace!
A wonderful childhood memory about San Diego.
