The innovative concert series LIVE FROM THE ARTISTS DEN returns for its eighth season, featuring Billboard-topping, Grammy-winning artists performing in intimate venues, ranging from a former bank in Houston, Texas to a hidden gem of a museum in New York's Washington Heights neighborhood. In the premiere episode, country superstar Tim McGraw tears through a dozen songs at The Corinthian bank building in Houston, including hits "Southern Girl" and "One of Those Nights," as well as new, never-before-heard material from his forthcoming album. Other featured episodes include Mexican guitar virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela at the Hispanic Society of America in New York, British pop star Lily Allen at the Manhattan Center's Grand Ballroom, and breezy singer-songwriter Jason Mraz at a secret location in Los Angeles.
Historic Los Angeles theater Royce Hall, located on the UCLA campus, provided a spectacular backdrop for Jason Mraz's taping of LIVE FROM THE ARTISTS DEN. Accompanied by the four members of LA folk-rock band Raining Jane, Mraz revisited old favorites like "Hello, You Beautiful Thing" and "I Won't Give Up" and previewed new material from his upcoming album "YES!."
The focus was on the collaborations with Raining Jane, who wrote and recorded "YES!" with Mraz. The set was punctuated by classic Mraz hit, "I'm Yours," which earned evocative responses from the 1700-person crowd.
The song list includes: "Hello, You Beautiful Thing," "Lucky," "Million Miles," "Only Human," "Love Someone," "The Woman I Love," "Things," "Back To The Earth," "I Won’t Give Up" and "I’m Yours."
