One person is dead and three people were wounded on the campus of Seattle Pacific University and police say a lone gunman has been taken into custody.
The Associated Press quotes Seattle police as saying at least two men and two women were shot at the university's Otto Miller Hall. The campus was placed on lockdown soon after the shooting began just before 3:30 p.m. PST (6:30 p.m. ET)
NPR member station KUOW says one person died from their wounds at hospital.
"A man in his 20s died, according to a hospital spokeswoman. A 20-year-old woman is in surgery, described as being in critical condition. Two men, ages 22 and 24, were described as being in satisfactory condition."
