The San Diego-based Navy Leap Frogs parachute team made a special appearance this weekend at Rancho Bernardo High School. The Leap Frogs high-flying performance helped kick off RB High's inaugural 12-hour relay marathon Sunday to raise awareness of the plight of wounded warriors.
According to a Navy news release, the six-man Leap Frog team descended from above as the Rancho Bernardo school band played The Star-Spangled Banner. School principal Paul Robinson was in awe of what he saw:
"It was a great performance. It reminds us of the tremendous heart and skill of our armed forces."
The Leap Frogs are the official parachute team of the United States Navy. According to the Leap Frogs' website, the team is made up of Navy SEALs and SWCC (Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewmen) commandos.
