Tom Fudge: This weekend, we’ll see you in the funny papers, at least if you’re planning to attend Comic Con. The annual blowout convention for the comic book industry is already taking place and we’ll talk about that and other weekend events.

Comic-Con began last night and runs through Sunday. All events take place at the convention center in downtown San Diego.

Genius of Soul takes the stage at 9 p.m. on Monday at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach. Guru's Jazzmatazz goes on later that evening.
