San Diego Gas Prices Drop Again

San Diego Gas Prices are down about four cents a gallon from last week. The Utility Consumer's Action Network tracks pump prices at hundreds of local gas stations.   U-CAN's Charles Langley says the average price for a gallon of regular is $3.04. He says it is not clear why the retail price of gas continues to fall.

Langley : Something is seriously warped when the price of gasoline is going down, when the entire oil industry is claiming there's a gasoline shortage, and the price of oil is going up.

Langley says there's no indication the gas prices will head back up soon. He says, however, that a minor pinch in the gas pipeline is all it takes to send prices up sharply. That pinch could be a problem at a California refinery or a natural disaster like a hurricane.
