Propostion 1-D will pump millions into local school districts, community colleges and public universities across the state. San Diego County is eligible for $200 million under Prop 1-D. Meanwhile Prop. 88, which would have introduced a new property tax, was soundly defeated. The state funding measure would have paid for class-size reduction programs and instructional materials.
