Create a unique Bandsaw Box!
November 23 & 24, from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Bandsaw boxes are beginner-friendly and have a variety of uses. Once you make one you can make many!
In this 7-hour workshop, students will create a box made from a single block of wood using the bandsaw. Students will learn to design and create organic forms on the bandsaw while observing wood grain and learning to make cross cuts and rip cuts. We will cover shop safety and methods for cutting and gluing your box. Students will also learn sanding best practices and how to achieve a perfect finish using beeswax.
We welcome all makers, from beginners to advanced.
Materials are provided. We recommend students bring your own eye protection, ear protection & apron. Aprons for sale here.
No experience necessary. Ages 18+ welcome. Students are welcome to bring a lunch or snack for a short break mid-class.
