Celebrate 160 Years When Maritime Museum Of San Diego Hosts Commemorative Companion Sail
You can be a part of the celebration!
Five years have elapsed since the last time Star of India sailed, so the opportunity to join her under sail this November makes this a unique experience!
Saturday November 11 and Sunday November 12 Star of India sailing celebration includes the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sail aboard one of three legendary sailing vessels surrounding Star on this historic occasion, as she sets sail heading for the ocean blue.
Guests can reserve tickets aboard one of these three ships:
- Californian, the official tall ship of the state
- San Salvador, the 1542 Spanish galleon replica built in San Diego by staff and volunteers
- Bill of Rights, a 136′ gaff rigged schooner built in 1971 by the Harvey Gamage Boatyard in Bristol, Maine
Each ship will include an on-board historian to deepen guests’ understanding of Star of India, the history behind all vessels and the Museum.
Tickets include a day sail charter with lunch, snacks, and water/soft drinks provided. A no-host bar will also be on board for 21+.
