Sesame Place San Diego is kicking off its First-Annual Mardi Gras celebration beginning Friday, February 14 to Sunday, March 9 on select dates. This vibrant, family-friendly event invites guests to join in the fun with Sesame Street-themed interactive activities, carnival colors, and special performances featuring everyone’s favorite furry friends.

Highlights of the Mardi Gras celebration include the dazzling Sesame Street Mardi Gras Cavalcade, an exciting Mardi Gras Mask Scavenger Hunt, and a Mardi Gras themed Dine with Elmo and Friends. Plus, visitors can enjoy Sesame Street-themed rides and attractions that are perfect for guests of all ages.

For a limited time, kids ages 3 to 9 years-old can go free to the park with a paid adult ticket. • ALL NEW! Sesame Street Mardi Gras Cavalcade – This colorful, musical cavalcade celebrates carnival time with festively decorated floats and Sesame Street friends dressed up and ready to shine. It’s a cavalcade full of lively tunes, fancy dancing, and plenty of family fun. The floats are decked out for Mardi Gras with colors of purple, gold, and green and some of the sparkliest things ever seen.
