2023 Medium Festival of Photography

The Medium Festival of Photography runs April 1-16 in San Diego, with some events in Tijuana.

Some highlights:

Community Pop-Up at Bread and Salt: Revolving around the Paris Photo / Aperture PhotoBook Awards exhibition, this day-long event will also include exhibitors, photographers, a DJ set from Lola Rey and free coffee.

Saturday, Apr. 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bread and Salt in Logan Heights.

Keynote at MCASD: At the keynote event, the featured speakers will be Judith Joy Ross and Joshua Chang, in conversation at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego in La Jolla.

Friday, April 7: Keynote reception begins at 5:30, presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. at MCASD La Jolla.

Second Sight Lecture: Anh-Thuy Nguyen: The 2023 Second Sight Award recipient will speak at the Museum of Contemporary Art La Jolla at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Apr. 6.

Size Matters Juried Exhibition: This annual, signature show from Medium Photo features photography-based works smaller than 10 inches. The exhibition runs April 3-16 at Mesa College Art Gallery.

Opening reception: 4-7 p.m. on Apr. 6 at Mesa College Art Gallery.

Tenam Studio Performances: Multi-disciplinary artist and musician Lexi Pulido will perform photography-inspired sets every morning at 10 a.m. from April 10-14 at her space Tenam Studio in Normal Heights. Pulido's performances are short, theatrical, inspiring and follow the missive "everything is art."

Monday through Friday, April 10-14 at 10 a.m.
