This event is free to attend, but it is not a drop-off and fix event. Instead, it is a hands-on event where participants can learn how to repair their items with the help of our expert coaches.
We do accept walk-ins, but please keep in mind that we serve those who have pre-registered first. Carlsbad fixit clinics are very popular, and the wait can be up to 1 hour. If you are unable to wait the length of the event, we highly suggest you arrive as early as you can. Please note we do not serve anyone after 12:30 PM.
If you have any old tools you don’t need, please bring them to the next SD Fixit Clinic and/or email us at sdfixitclinic@gmail.com to arrange drop-off locations.
Fixic Clinic and E-Waste Collection: Saturday, April 5
Learn how to extend the life of household items through repair, not disposal. The Fixit Clinic will offer tips on fixing bikes, appliances, clothing and more. Instead of throwing things away, discover simple repair techniques that help reduce waste, save money and keep your items in use longer.
We'll provide workspace, specialty tools and guidance to help you take apart and troubleshoot your item. Even if we can't fix it, you'll learn more about how it was made and works.
Drop off old and broken electronics for proper recycling during the Fixit Clinic at Dove Library.
