Sunday, November 24, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Come grow your skills with this customizable apron class. Whether its in the studio, garage, kitchen, garden, or pottery wheel, make your apron work for you. In this 4-hour class you will learn to cut, design, and sew a gathered apron with waistband tie and bib. You will learn to measure for your fit, make straps and ties, discuss fabric anatomy, choose pocket placement and construction, and have the option to add ruffles, pin tucks, gathers &/or pleats for embellishment. Pockets and ruffles where you want them! All materials are included. However, if you’d like to bring your own fabric &/or matching thread, you are welcome to bring 2-3 yards of a light weight to light canvas fabric (most home sewing machines cannot handle sewing through multiple layers of thick canvas fabric so please don’t bring any to this class). Please note, if bringing your own sewing machine, it is very important to make sure it is fully functional before class.
This class is ideal for ages 12+, 8-12yrs can attend with a dedicated adult helper.
