Join San Diego Botanic Garden at its highly anticipated Summer Nights, every Thursday from July 11 through August 29. Enjoy extended hours at the Garden until 8 p.m. and a diverse selection of special events, performances, and concerts available as add-ons to make your evening at the Garden even more memorable.
On August 15th, enjoy a unique form of storytelling at the Conservatory Amphitheater. First performed on the streets of Tokyo, Japan in 1929, Kamishibai Storybox Theater has captivated children and adults alike for nearly a century. The narrator tells the story while revealing sequential pictures inside a small wooden box that serves as a stage. Simple yet compelling, Kamishibai is always a joyful and often riveting experience.
