The 11th Annual Bayside Gospel Concert Aboard the Midway is set to light up San Diego with "The Evolution of Gospel Music," featuring the unparalleled talent of multiple Stellar Award winner, Beverly Crawford, known for her raw fire and evangelistic stage presence. This will be a celebration of the rich history and vibrant future of gospel music. The event will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. on the flight deck of the iconic USS Midway Museum.

Dr. Robert Earl Dean kicks off the event, reminding us of the gospel’s roots with simple yet powerful instrumentation—hands clapping, feet stomping, and tambourine. Tinika Wyatt blends soul and contemporary Christian music, resonating with a multi-ethnic audience. With captivating harmonic melodies , The Full Gospel Ensemble will showcase the essence of gospel music. Greater Life Church Dance Ministry will bring the gospel message of worship and movement.
While breaking boundaries, The Vibe Experience is taking gospel music beyond traditional church settings, performing in restaurants, cafes, and unconventional venues. Ivey Conerly, a Christian Hip Hop artist, demonstrates how gospel lyrics can reach hip-hop culture, fostering crossover appeal. Eddie Baltrip and Fulfillment infuse traditional choir sounds with a fresh, non-traditional energy, captivating audiences with lively performances. Beverly Crawford’s chart-topping hits will have the audience up and on their feet worshiping and shouting!
