Sam Hinton Folk Heritage Festival

Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 10 AM to 4 PM
Old Poway Park
All Ages
Free

The annual Sam Hinton Folk Heritage Festival will include music beginning at 10 am on the Gazebo Stage. There will be storytelling in the Porter House and jam sessions all over the park. Enjoy the Poway Farmers Market from 8 am to 2 pm. The following is the concert schedule:

10:00 a.m. Hullabaloo. Start your day with some free-range, organic kid-folk.

10:45 a.m. Marilyn McPhie. World renowned storyteller will give you a taste of what will be happening over in the Porter House.

11:00 a.m. MohaviSoul. Stellar songwriting and tight bluegrass-flavored musicianship will kick things up a notch.

12:00 p.m. Scarborough. Hear Simon and Garfunkel songs done by Ashley Norton and Sharon Katz, two women whose voices blend just as well as Paul and Art’s.

1:00 p.m. Hot Pstromi. The full band will play world-class music based around Yale Strom’s klezmer violin and Elizabeth Schwartz’ powerful vocals.

2:00 p.m. Lee Coulter Band. This performer puts more positivity into his work, and connects more closely to his audience.

3:00 p.m. Billy Lee and the Swamp Critters. These folks live up to their name, with so much fun Cajun and Zydeco music, it is hard not to dance.
