Choreo & The Big Gay Picnic

DISCO RIOT is excited to present Choreo & The Big Gay PICNIC on May 19, 2024. Under the direction of Producing Artist Martin Anthony Dorado, this event will include outdoor dance performance + picnic shenanigans in collaboration with The Big Gay Picnic! Between performances, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a good ol’ picnic.

Choreographers include Melissa De la Torre, Tina Carreras, Juliette Trout, Odessa Uno, and Megan Curet, with a picnic blanket installation with Collective Memory.

PICNIC (noun)
A picnic is an excursion or outing with shareable foods provided by the participants and eaten in the open. Picnickers like to sit on the ground, on a rug or blanket while dining “alfresco.” Picnics can be informal or fancy, playful or elegant, simple or extravagant. Outdoor games or some other form of entertainment are common at large picnics, and lend to the carefree, pleasant, and wholesome experience.
