"20 Days in Mariupol" offers a harrowing account of the Ukrainian city under siege, revealing the critical work of journalists and the dangers they face in war-torn regions. Following the screening, a panel of speakers will discuss the role of journalists and writers, exploring the challenges and risks involved in their work, particularly in conflict zones.
Amnesty International will also offer opportunities for attendees to support the work of journalists globally through letter-writing campaigns and petitions. This event aims to raise awareness about the vital role of a free press and encourage the community to advocate for journalists' safety and freedom.
Refreshments will be served, and admission is free. This event is open to the public for ages 16 and up. We invite everyone to join us for an afternoon of powerful storytelling, insightful discussion, and community support for press freedom.
Donation Drive: monetary contributions of any amount will be gratefully accepted to help fund a container of goods for Ukrainian people, as well as fund first aid supplies and frontline support of non-lethal aid. Thank you!
