On Saturday morning, Feeding San Diego is hosting a large-scale, free food distribution at Southwestern College in Chula Vista open to 1,200 households to help support San Diegans impacted by the recent storms.

After a very wet week, volunteers will be onsite to distribute ready-to-eat food and produce to anyone in need of food assistance, no registration required.

“Since the initial storm on January 22 that caused significant damage throughout the county, Feeding San Diego has been working within its food distribution network to get ready-to-eat food out into the community,” said Bob Kamensky, CEO of Feeding San Diego. “We are grateful to our partners at Southwestern College for providing a site to host 1,200 households this weekend. Food is a necessity, and we are here to provide it.”
