A freewill offering is taken during each performance to help support the outreach of the Concert Series.

Quartet Nouveau returns to the Music Ministries Concert Series at Hope United Methodist Church in Rancho Bernardo on Sunday January 21, 2024 at 2 p.m. Joined by tenor Miguel Zazueta and mezzo-soprano Leslie Leytham, Quartet Nouveau presents a concert exploring storytelling. Stranger by Nico Muhly includes prose from historical texts, while Respighi’s Il tramonto is based on the poem “The sunset” by Shelley. The final selection on the program is Last Leaf, a collection of folk songs without text by the Danish String Quartet. This one hour performance is free and open to the public. Quartet Nouveau, a San Diego based string quartet, is excited to collaborate with Miguel and Leslie for this program, made possible by a grant from the Qualcomm Foundation.
