OUT OF THE BOONDOCKS is a docuseries on KPBS about the Philippine-American community, the largest Asian-American demographic in San Diego and California. The series' hosts talk to local creatives, educators, and organizers, those making a mark in the community and actively documenting stories around the Philippine diaspora, which has historically been limited and omitted. Season 2’s six episodes will air weekly on KPBS beginning October 12 at 8:30 p.m. Catch up and watch Season 1 now with the PBS App.
During the event, enjoy two new episodes, a panel discussion by SDCCD Fil-Am educators on Filipinx themes, and the chance to win prizes!
The event is hosted by the series production team, the San Diego Community College District, and the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS).
