After a few lessons at Art Adventure Studio, in Oceanside, Josiah Love names painting as one of his favorite pastimes.

Love enjoys painting horses with the guidance of his instructor. He named one of his first paintings 'Saadya,' a Hebrew name that means "God’s Helper." With the help of his mom, Loree Love, he’s selling prints on Redbubble.com.

Loree said they’ve already raised more than $3,000. She said 100 percent of the proceeds are going to the family of Martine Bellocq, a horse trainer who is still recovering in the hospital.

Love was working on a painting of a horse last December when he saw images on the news of burning stables at the San Luis Rey Training Center in Bonsall.

"Horses were killed, horses were injured. Some horses made it. Some horses didn’t and that trainers got burned and hurt trying to save their horses,” said Love.

According to a GoFundMe Page set up on behalf of Bellocq, she lost two horse in the Lilac Fire and sustained second and third-degree burns to more than 50 percent of her body.
