San Diego Politicos Keep Close Watch On District 1

KPBS asked all of the candidates running for San Diego City Council District 1 the same five questions.

They provided a "yes" or a "no" answer and then a short explanation, which can be viewed by clicking on the boxes in the grid below. If they responded but without a "yes" or a "no," a question mark is used in the grid.

District 1 covers La Jolla, University City, Torrey Pines, Torrey Hills, Carmel Valley, Del Mar Mesa and Pacific Highlands Ranch. It is currently represented by Council President Sherri Lightner, who is being termed out.
