A San Diego man charged with operating a revenge porn website so he could extort money from those photographed has been scheduled to appear in court next week.
Kevin Christopher Bollaert, 27, faces 31 felony counts of conspiracy, identity theft and extortion related to a pair of now-inactive websites.
Authorities say Bollaert allowed people to anonymously post explicit and nude photographs of others through ugotposted.com; then he charged those whose privacy had been breached to remove the images through changemyreputation.com.
Bollaert was released from jail late Tuesday after posting $50,000 bail. He is set to appear in court Dec. 17.
His attorney has not returned repeated phone calls from The Associated Press.
