The Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group and Marines from Camp Pendleton's 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit arrived in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations on October 30, according to Amphibious Squadron Three Public Affairs.
While there, the Peleliu ARG will provide maritime security, and participate in military exercises with other countries.

Amphibious ships deliver embarked Marine landing forces ashore to provide humanitarian assistance, civil support, non-combatant evacuations, peace operations, recovery operations, disaster reliefs and counter-piracy.
The Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Oman, and the Red Sea are all parts of the 2.5 million square miles of ocean that make up the U.S. 5th Fleet.
